Apart from Sundara Mahalingam and Chandana Mahalingam, which are mainly located on the wonderful hill, the deities like Pilavadi Karuppar, twin Lingam and big Mahalingam are notable. At the heart of Chaturagiri is Sanjeevi Hill.

Chaturagiri Hill is situated in the western range of South Tamil Nadu. Chaturam-four, giri-malai, it is called 'Chaturagiri' because it is surrounded by mountains on all four sides.
In the east direction is Indragiri, in the south direction is Emagiri, in the west direction is Varunagiri, in the north direction is Kuberagiri, and in the middle of these four mountains are Sivagiri, Brahmagiri, Vishnugiri and Saptagiri.
Apart from this, there is a wonderful mountain called Sanjeevi among these four mountains. This place is Panchabhusa Lingathalam. Among these is the auspicious Sundaramurthy Arida Lingam. The auspicious Sandalwood Mahalingam is a divine lingam.
Eighteen Siddhas including Agathiya lived and worshiped here. It is the opinion of the Siddhas that if you visit this shrine once and have worship of Swami, you can live a healthy life for hundreds of years.
Those who take a bath in Chandra Theertha, Kelandinya Theertha and Agaya Ganga Theertha located in this place will enjoy the eternal life. Get refreshed.
Just thinking of Thiruvannamalai is salvation; Salvation by worshiping Chidambaram; Being born in Tiruvarur will bring salvation. Salvation to die in Kashi. It is said that these four types of salvation are available at Chaturagiri Thala. It is said that the healing herbal air of this hilly place will increase longevity and lead to a disease-free life.
The road to Chaturagiri is a natural one. A path has been established to visit the Mahalinga, which is partially covered by the hill. Vehicles cannot pass. Everything is a walk! A narrow path... a rough path. There are no facilities here like in Sabarimala. There is no proper facility like cell phone, food, shelter, toilet. Bumps and potholes are common on this road.
At some places the path is only three feet wide. On days like new moon and full moon, there is a lot of chance of foot traffic due to crowding. If you put your foot on the side of the path, the bottom is the underworld! In some places the rock is slippery when walking without any grip. Be very careful in such places.
Before starting this pilgrimage, it is something that many people sigh and dread. During our journey we saw many elderly, heart diseased, diabetic and hypertensive people climbing the mountain. We saw a legless devotee climbing with a wooden leg and crutches.
